Fire Detection in Road Tunnels

The proven systems utilize double-ended optical sensing throughout the structure. Optical fiber sensors are deployed along the length of each road tunnel and optionally within any tunnel inverts and cross passages to ensure robust sensor architecture.

The system can be linked to third party systems including existing SCADA systems, and CCTV technology to provide visual confirmation.

The system provides continuous monitoring enabling ongoing data to be used to control tunnel ventilation systems.

Optionally Sensa can provide solutions to monitor the temperatures to which the tunnel/building structure may be exposed to during a critical event. This information is essential for rescue services and for post event structural analysis.
